Crawley Town Centre BID Map

The task

Our designer Brent liaised with the BID team and developed an initial brief. From these discussions and scoping meeting, Brent drafted and then developed various further drafts until the final map was agreed and signed off.

The purpose of the map is to highlight key businesses, facilities, and transport points.

Using a clear colour coded schematic, the map makes it easy to identify and locate places such as hotels, pharmacies, public toilets, and leisure facilities.

Further plans are in place to post the map at strategic locations around the town.

An initial map has been printed for the BID offices and was accepted by BID Manager Wendy Bell.

Business Improvement Districts (BID) are independent business-led, business-funded organisations formed to improve a defined commercial area.

In 2019, 68% of businesses in Crawley Town Centre voted in favour of a new Business Improvement District (BID) and will run for five years (2020-2025) and the Crawley Town Centre BID was born.

Over it’s term, the Crawley Town Centre BID will deliver a range of projects and initiatives aligned to primary values; make Crawley Town Centre safer and more vibrant, businesses feeling more connected and widely promoting and showcasing the area.
